Discussion No. 2: Principles of the Founding

What were the primary principles of the American Founding? How, and where, in the Founding, do you see them? Do you think the current government of the United States is consistent or inconsistent with the principles of the American Founding. What about the Democratic and Republican parties? How? Use current events to substantiate your answer.
