Race/Ethnicity and Socioeconomic Status and Health Care

This week we will continue learning about the effects of socioeconomic status, race, ethnicity and health. Reading 1 discusses the interplay between race, ethnicity and socioeconomic status to lead to differential health outcomes. Reading 2 discusses a faith-based public health initiative to decrease disparities in COVID-19 vaccinations.

In addition to exploring these issues Video 1 presents a case that some doctors are making for racism to be declared a public health crisis.
