Write and submit a written manuscript of an informative speech that will be four (4) to six (6) minutes in length when presented.

 

The Informative Speech is part 2 of your Midterm Project and worth 10% of your Final Course Grade.

Deliverables
A written document that will become your oral Informative speech in Week 8. Please be sure to choose a subject of interest that would be appropriate for college presentation. Both a title page and a reference page are required.

Activity Details
Perform the following tasks:

 

Step 1: Review your Topic and Thesis and Speech Structure Format

Several announcements, last week’s discussion, and last week’s live session was devoted to the informative speech and speech organization.  Please review these resources to confirm that you understand what a good speech looks and sounds like.

 

Step 2: Outline.

Begin organizing your informative speech by using either a Keyword outline of a Full Sentence outline. 

 

Step 3: Create the Written Draft.

Draft your speech, which will need to be of length for a four (4) to six (6) minutes speech presented orally. Reread your document. Be sure to allow enough time to let the document simmer or distill for a day or two then reread and correct spelling, grammar, and sentence flow.
